DIVISION-WIDE MEETINGS |
September 8, 2006
A follow up to division-wide meetings held in February and May of 2006, the September meeting provided an overview of ongoing projects as well as new initiatives.
Jim Sage provided UPDATES regarding his initiatives.
Deb White discussed the new OVERSIGHT / GOVERNANCE process and SECURITY issues as they relate to the division and the University.
John Savery gave an overview of LEARNING TECHNOLOGIES, including Audio-Visual Services, Computer Bases Assessment & Evaluation, Distance Learning along with a focus on DL ROOM USAGE FOR FALL, and Design & Development Services. As part of Savery’s talk, Jill Phipps and Patrick Tabatcher provided an overview of WEBCT.
Rick Draper and Tom Beitl discussed Database, Application, Architecture Strategies, Oracle Insight Engagement, and the Data Warehouse.
Mike Giannone and Chris Collins provided an overview of the division's new NEWSLETTER and solicited articles and ideas from all members of the ITS division.
The next ITS Division-wide meeting is in the planning stages and will be announced as the time draws nearer.
