Software Pricing - MICROSOFT

Students, faculty and staff are only eligible to purchase one copy of each product release and only one platform (Windows or MAC) of each product. The contract also restricts the purchase of the most current Office for both Windows and MAC.

The software registration restricts the installation to ONLY one computer.

Students

In order for students to receive our discount you must be enrolled in at least one credited course. You must provide:

1. A valid University of Akron ID
2. Microsoft Student License Agreement (2 copies)

Students have only temporary rights to the software while they are enrolled in a credited course at the university. Students own the media they purchase. They do not own the software license. Permanent rights will only be granted upon successful graduation from the university. If at any point the student leaves the university without graduating, they will be responsible for removing and destroying any software installed.

Faculty & Staff

In order for faculty and staff to receive our discount you must be currently employed by the university. Former employees, third-party contractors and volunteers are not eligible for this program. To receive this software you must provide:

1. A valid University of Akron ID
2. Microsoft Employee License Agreement

Faculty and Staff only have rights to this software during their employment with the University. If at any point they leave the employment of the University of Akron including retirement all software rights end. At that time they are responsible for removing and destroying any software installed on a home computer.

Note: Returns cannot be accepted after 10 (ten) days and on any opened items.
