The management of the University's apple computers is provided with a two part process. The Apple Support Team has created a standard macintosh disk image which we install on all new machines before they are distributed for faculty and staff use. This image is also used if a OS 10.4 "Tiger" upgrade software request is submitted to computer solutions. The other part of the process is provided via Apple Remote Desktop. Which is used to remotely manage computers and collect hardware and software inventories from these computers.
