How To Map Network Drives

Please follow the following instructions to mount network drives on your machine.

In order to mount a network drive from home you need to setup your VPN client first before you can mount a network drive.

From the Finder menu, Click Go and click on Connect to Server

In the Server Address bar type the name of the server you want to connect to. I.E. smb://adminmb1/campus applications/

Note: There is a known issue with VPN and SMB network shares (Windows Network Files shares). You must use the Servers IP address and Sharename in order to map University network file shares from home, ie smb://[IP Address]/[Share Name].

Click on the "+" sign to add the server to your favorite servers list. Then click on the connect button to connect to the server

Use your UANet ID and password to authenticate to the server you are trying to connect to. You can now setup automount network drives by clicking here
