Office 2007 Training
During the Summer 2007 term, the 2007 version of Microsoft® Office will be available to the campus. At that time, it will be a voluntary installation. There is a significant difference between Office 2003 and Office 2007, so training is recommended. To familiarize yourself with the differences, take the Office 2007 Overview class.
The Office 2007 Overview class is web-based and self-paced. This class may be taken without loading Office 2007 on your computer. This class is a prerequisite for all the other Office 2007 classes.

Office 2007 Overview
Microsoft has modified the Office 2007 programs to make it easier to locate the commands for the work that you want to accomplish. These changes in the interface will require adjustments to the way you do things. This course will allow you to review some of the major changes in Office 2007 and to experiment with the new screen elements.
The most noticeable change is the absence of the familiar menus and toolbars, which are replaced by a new element called the Ribbon.
View the following lessons to guide you through the change. You do not need Office 2007 to do these lessons. Each of the four lessons is in PDF format for viewing and printing. Lesson 1 has two videos that are accessed within the lesson and highlight the main tasks in the lesson. There are also two interactive Activities that may be done at any time, though it is recommended that you do these after Lesson 4.
