NETWORK SECURITY |
This page will always be in the "Under Construction" state, due to the fact that new security issues and vulnerabilities are being discovered continuously. Since this page is a work in progress, please check back on a regular basis.
Unfortunately, my other responsibilities take up a lot of my time. This means that, at least initially, I will only be able to provide links to useful resources and information. Nevertheless, this should provide you with a good start on understanding the very real threats that your
computer is exposed to every time it is connected to the internet or any other computer network.
Although the University's network is subjected to thousands of attacks daily from external sources, and a surprising amount from internal sources as well, there are some simple steps that you can take to protect your computer and your privacy.
Network Security is administered by Randy Woodling and Jason Bowling. You can contact Randy at x6585 or Randy Woodling and Jason at x7335 or Jason Bowling. |
