In order to create a shortcut to the Financials module, follow these instructions.
To create a shortcut other than in IE follow these instructions.
When logging in to PeopleSoft version 8, if you get an invalid ID or password note . . .
If you can’t log into PeopleSoft or if you receive a note saying you have an invalid ID or password, try emptying your Cache, close IE, and then reopen IE and try logging into PeopleSoft again.

PEOPLESOFT V8 FINANCIALS TRAINING
Software Training Services is conducting hands-on training sessions for the Upgrade. There is an upgrade class for existing requisition users and another class for existing financial Inquiry (budget) users.
There are three classes available:
Currently, there are three classes available.
1. Financial Upgrade for Experienced Users: This course introduces some of the changes from PeopleSoft 7 to PeopleSoft 8 and is intended as a pre-requisite for either the Requisitions V8 Upgrade or Budget Reports and Inquiry for Experienced Users classes.
2. Requisitions V8 Upgrade: This course reviews the Requisition Entry Process for requisitions entered in PeopleSoft V8.
3. Budget Reports and Inquiry for Experienced Users: This course reviews the Budget management procedures in the new version of PeopleSoft V8.

ACCESSING PEOPLESOFT v8
The best way is to use your favorites. However, if you wish, the following shortcut will give you access to PeopleSoft version 8.

Through windows explorer:
Go to the K drive
Double-click on the PSUsers folder
Double-click on the v8 Shortcut folder
Drag-and-drop the v8 icon onto your desktop.
Double-click the icon to access PeopleSoft v8

NOTE: When logging into PeopleSoft v8, be sure to enter your PEOPLESOFT ID and PASSWORD all in UPPERCASE

PeopleSoft v8 creates an enterprise-wide web-based system
The upgrade from 7.6 to v8 of PeopleSoft will make the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system entirely web-based. That means that faculty and staff will access PeopleSoft via a web browser and transact business online. The PeopleSoft application will no longer be installed on the user's desktop.
