Mandatory Orientation Events that Require Registration

These are events in which all entering students must participate. Because space is limited, registration for these events is required. Click the links for more information and to register.

• Library tour (MANDATORY for all entering students)
• LexisNexis training (MANDATORY for all entering students)
• Westlaw training (MANDATORY for all entering students)

Optional Orientation Events and Components that Require Registration

These events and components of Orientation are purely OPTIONAL, but if you want to participate, you must register so we know how many people to expect. Click the links for more information and to register.

• Tuesday afternoon (8/21) SBA cookout and Q&A with upper-division students
• Wednesday morning (8/22) Akron Law Takes the First Step: fundraising walk to benefit the American Heart Association (counts toward your 30 hour pro bono publico service requirement)
  
• Wednesday afternoon BLSA/ALLSA New Student Program - Registration dealine is Monday, August 20 at noon.
  
• Wednesday night (8/22) dinner - Registration deadline is Friday, August 17 at noon
  
• Friday night (8/24) orientation dinner - Registration deadline is Tuesday, August 21 at noon
  
• Student mentor (If you do not register for a student mentor, you will not be matched with a student mentor) - The deadline to request a mentor is Thursday, August 23, at 8 am
  
• Student directory - Registration deadline is Monday, August 27 at 8 am
  
• Student organizations interest form - Deadline is Monday, August 27 at 8 am
