This course has been approved by the Supreme Court of Ohio Commission on Continuing Legal Education for 1.00 total CLE hour of instruction.
About Jeffrey Holland:
Jeff Holland has represented many individuals with a wide variety of animal welfare legal issues. He has also represented a number of animal welfare organizations, including HSUS, the Animal Legal Defense Fund and humane societies in Allen, Ashland, Auglaize, Clark, Columbiana, Cuyahoga, Franklin, Fulton, Geauga, Harrison, Hocking, Holmes, Jackson, Jefferson, Lake, Logan, Lorain, Lucas, Medina, Miami, Montgomery, Morrow, Pike, Portage, Summit, Wayne, Wood and Wyandot Counties. He has served as special prosecutor for animal cruelty cases in many courts across the State of Ohio for the past 20 years.
Jeff Holland is an Adjunct Professor for the Animal Law course at the Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland.
Jeff has conducted humane officer training for the Ohio Humane Agents Association and Ohio Federated Humane Societies, legal education for Ohio attorneys on animal issues, and has conducted seminars on animal cruelty law for the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association, Ohio State University, the Cleveland Bar Association, the Ohio Dog Warden’s Association, the National Animal Control Association and the Montana Veterinary Medical Association. Jeff helped to draft S.B. 221, the first significant change in Ohio’s animal cruelty law in over a hundred years. Jeff and his wife, Marjorie, live in Medina County with 4 dogs, 6 cats, 6 horses, and 4 sons.
