Attorney Saldana-Villanueva will address the differences between IP practice in Latin America (Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela) against IP practice in the US.   He will focus mainly on patent practice, which is his area of expertise.  His presentation will also include some "Hot Topics" regarding IP in each of the above mentioned countries in which Baker & McKenzie has offices. 

Some of the subtopics he will cover include the state of IP in Latin America with regard to software & business method patents, continuation and patent opposition procedures, publication, duty of candor, best mode, oath, patent term duration, patent prosecution, licenses, and enforcement.
