Flexibility . . . Affordability . . . Options . . .
That's what students have said can make the difference between dreaming of becoming a lawyer and making that dream come true.
Akron Law's innovative programming enables students to graduate in:
| Early Out: | 2.5 years for full-time or 3/5 years for part-time |
| Traditional: | 3 year full-time or 4 year part-time |
| Extended: | 5 or 6 years for part-time |
Full-time Program Required Course Curriculum
The curriculum for a full-time student is designed so that the degree may be earned in two and one-half academic years or more. A full-time load is 12-16 credit hours each Fall and Spring semester.
Part-time Program Required Course Curriculum
The curriculum for a part-time student is designed so that the degree may be earned in three and one-half academic years or more. The summer is an integral part of the part-time program. A part-time load is 8 to 10 credit hours each Fall and Spring semester. Take a look at the sample tracks below to see which one may fit your life best.
And while the first-year curriculum within each track is standard, there are some adjustments we may be able to make during the first year. Students can adjust much more freely after first year for traditional full-time and after 2nd year for traditional part-time once those core required courses are completed.
SPECIALIZED STUDIES: Business, Criminal, Intellectual Property & Technology, International, Litigation, Public Interest, Taxation
