View the Intellectual Property Brochure
Several areas are available within the study of Intellectual Property (IP) law. Those specialty areas are featured in four IP clusters, as follows:Cluster #1 = Technology
Cluster #2 = Computers/Publishing/Entertainment
Cluster #3 = Marketing/Commerce
Cluster #4 = Policy/Global Environment Core and required classes are traditionally offered each year. Highly specialized intellectual property classes are rotated every second or third year. Courses may or may not follow a certain sequence. Course offerings are published at the time of registration shortly before the beginning of each semester.
Since there are so many courses listed within each cluster, it would not be possible to take all courses within a cluster prior to law school graduation. Students should consult with an IP faculty advisor to determine which courses would be most beneficial. In addition, students may want to consult with the career planning director to gain a broader understand of market conditions and employer needs.
