30 credits required for graduation*

* Up to nine credits of IP coursework completed at the J.D. level at any A.B.A. approved law school within the past three years may be applied toward these 30 credits. Approval must be obtained in advance from the Director of the IP Center, and is dependent upon the quality of the student's previous academic performance as well as the content of the coursework taken.

One-year, Full-time Program (day or evening):

Fall Semester 12 credits
Spring Semester 12 credits
Summer Session** 6 credits
TOTAL 30 credits

Two-year, Part-time Program (day or evening)

Fall Semester 6 credits
Spring Semester 6 credits
Summer Session** 3 credits
TOTAL 15 credits per year
   
The part-time program will normally be completed in three to four years. Nine credits of thesis and policy are required.
**Summer credits can be used to complete the internship/externship and/or thesis requirements, as determined by the student and his/her advisor.

*** This requirement is normally fullfilled as a 3 credit experience. Where the nature of the internship/externship, time commitment, work and analysis performed merit, this requirement can be pre-approved for an additional 3 credits.
