  • Briefly addressed the members of the Ohio Supreme Court Death Penalty Task Force Meeting in Columbus, Ohio regarding the need to engage in better comparative proportionality review on appeal in Ohio death penalty cases.
  • Reviewed legislation for the OSBA Legislative Review Committee.
  • Published “Victor L. Streib Tribute,” 38 Ohio Northern L. Rev. 455-458 (2012).

Winter 2011-2012

  • Presented “United States Supreme Court Criminal Procedure Update” at The University of Akron School of Law Winter Institute in Naples, Florida.

Fall 2011

  • Presented “Winning Cases, 2010-2011 - Legal Developments in the U.S. Supreme Court” to over 200 attorneys at the OACDL Death Penalty Seminar in Columbus, Ohio.
  • Provided an interview to WAKR Radio regarding the first meeting of the Ohio Supreme Court’s Death Penalty Review Committee.

Spring 2011

  • Moderated a CLE entitled “Criminal Procedure: Getting Better” for the Akron Bar Association.

Winter 2010-2011

  • Presented “United States Supreme Court Criminal Procedure Update” at The University of Akron School of Law Winter Institute in Naples, Florida.
  • Interviewed by a Youngstown TV station on class action suit filed in federal court, following being interviewed/quoted in Youngstown Vindicator news article: “Suit Seeks to Nix 67,000 Warrants” appearing in the Vindicator, and reprinted in the Plain Dealer.

Summer 2010

  • Gave two CLE presentations entitled “Comparative Criminal Procedure and Transnational Prosecution” and “United States Supreme Court Update” to Akron Law Alumni in Geneva, Switzerland, as part of the Summer Abroad Study Program.
  • Provided an interview to the AP reporter Tom Sheridan regarding a federal death penalty trial.

Spring 2010

  • Recipient of The University of Akron School of Law Alumni Association’s Award for Best Faculty Publication, for her article in Creighton Law Review.
  • Provided two interviews to the Dayton Daily News editorial writer Martin Gottlieb regarding death penalty cases and judicial recusal.
  • Asked to join and became a member of the ABA Criminal Justice Section’s Academics Committee.
  • Spoke to two classes in the Baldwin Wallace College David Brain Leadership Institute Program regarding professional and personal advocacy experiences in the death penalty and criminal justice area, along with lay leader/activist Kathy Soltis.

Winter 2009-2010

  • Presented at The University of Akron School of Law’s Winter Institute in Naples, Florida.
  • Appointed to the Executive Board of AALS Section on Criminal Justice, and attended AALS meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana.
  • Interviewed by Z-TV on the topic of the death penalty, for TV broadcast on Time-Warner Cable.
