Biography

Ann Knaak earned a bachelor of arts degree in history from The University of Akron in 1972 and a Juris Doctor from The University of Akron School of Law in 1981.  She was a member of Alpha Sigma Lambda,  Phi Alpha Theta, Phi Eta Sigma, and Phi Sigma Alpha honoraries.

Mrs. Knaak retired as corporate attorney and assistant secretary from Corning, Incorporated of Painted Post, New York.  Her corporate practice included federal securities law, business law, not-for-profit corporation law and real property law.  She is a current member of the New York State Bar Association and former member of the American Bar Association.  She is a former Board of Directors member of the United Way of the Southern Tier (NY), where she also served as chair.

Mrs. Knaak is a charter member and supporter of the Law School Dean’s Club at the University.  She also supports the Phi Sigma Alpha Endowed Scholarship as well as University and Law Scholarship Funds.
