Biography

Attorney Hightower is a litigation attorney and business director at Lynda Harvey Williams & Associates, LLC, located in downtown Akron.  She obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of Akron School of Law in 2008.  Her practice includes litigation and appeals in the areas of criminal, civil, juvenile, and probate law. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Kent State University with concentrations in English and Paralegal Studies in 2003.

She has been licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio since 2008 and is admitted to practice law in the United States Federal Court, Northern District of Ohio.  She has also received certificates in general and divorce mediation from the University of Akron Center for Family Studies.  She is a member of the Akron Bar Association and a member of the Summit County Juvenile Court Family Reunification Through Recovery Court advisory, legal, and executive committees.  She is also an active member on various Akron Bar Association committees and sub-committees.  Other associations include Scanlon Inn of Court and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorporated. 

She has previously served as Bar Coordinator for Akron Law.  She has been an adjunct professor for Akron Law since 2009.  During that time, she has served as a special lecturer and taught Advanced Legal Applications, Criminal Law Lab, and was co-professor of the Externship Program.  She is currently teaching Law Firm Management.
