Biography

Frank E. Quirk is the Director of the Miller- Becker Institute for Professional Responsibility at The University of Akron School of Law, a position he has held since 2004. Currently of counsel at Brouse McDowell, Mr. Quirk has been with the firm since 1961 and served as the firm's managing partner from 1989 to 1998. He consults with lawyers and clients of the firm regarding matters involving ethics or malpractice, serves as an expert witness in lawyer malpractice cases and lectures frequently at legal seminars. Mr.Quirk's community involvement has included chair of Downtown Akron Partnership Inc. (1996-2000), president of the Akron Bar Association (1983-84), president of the Akron Bar Association Foundation (1990-91), president of the Akron City Club (1980-81) and president of the Board of Governors of the American Golf Classic. He is a member of the Akron, Ohio State, and American Bar Associations. Mr. Quirk received his B.S. and J.D. from The Ohio State University.
