Over 200 attendees gathered at the John S. Knight Center in Akron, Ohio for the 7th Annual Sughrue Symposium. This year’s symposium featured a panel discussion of the issues currently before the Federal Circuit relating to claim construction led by attorneys Michael R. Dzwonczyk and Susan P. Pan of Sughrue Mion, PLLC. The conference also included sessions on current developments in patent, trademark, and copyright law, including a discussion of the Grokster case. There was also a presentation on ethics and opinion writing given by Professor Lisa A. Dolak of Syracuse University School of Law. Stephen M. Pinkos, Deputy Under Secretary for Intellectual Property and Deputy Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office was the featured luncheon speaker.
