Mr. Demarco is a patent attorney experienced in a wide range of intellectual property matters. Mr. Demarco’s practice focuses on patent litigation, counseling, licensing, and prosecution. Mr. Demarco counsels clients on defending against U.S. patent assertions, design-around options, enforcing intellectual property assets against infringers, international manufacturing and sales strategies to minimize infringement exposure, and complex U.S. patent prosecution issues. Mr. Demarco has litigated patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret, antitrust, and false advertising issues in numerous U.S. federal courts and has coordinated simultaneous, parallel litigations in Japan and Europe. Mr. Demarco lectures frequently on U.S. intellectual property issues in Japan.

Mr. Demarco’s expertise is in the semiconductor, optical, consumer electronics, robotics, automotive, and chemical technologies. Mr. Demarco’s work has dealt with digital cameras and color image processing, magnetic resonance and computer tomographic imaging, data compression, digital reading and storage devices, laser and ink-jet printing, plasma and LCD displays, fiber-optics, semiconductor materials and devices, chip fabrication, and distributed (client-server) systems.
