James S. Gwin received his undergraduate degree from Kenyon College in 1976 and his J.D. from The University of Akron in 1979.
He was named to his current appointment in 1997. Prior to that he was a judge for the Stark County Court of Common Pleas since 1989. Other positions that Judge Gwin held during his career include associate for Wise & Guitierrez (1979-85), and Partner/Shareholder for Guitierrez, Mackey & Gwin (1985-89). He has been involved in the North Central Ohio Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and the Central Stark County Mental Health Center.
Judge Gwin is married to Bonnie, Partner-in-Charge of Heidrick & Struggles, Inc.’s global software practice. They have two children |
