REGISTRATION FEE: $275 ($350 after Feb. 20); Faculty $100; students free, however registration is required. An additional $30 will be charged to walk-in registrants. The registration fee covers the symposium sessions, continental breakfast, lunch and the symposium materials. Symposium materials will be provided on a flashdrive. *Booklets containing printed materials will be provided at no charge upon registrant request prior to March 9, 2012. Requests for booklets of printed materials made after March 9, 2012 will be fulfilled on an as-available basis and at a cost of $50 per booklet. For interested individuals who are unable to attend, a copy of the symposium materials is available for $50.*
CLE CREDIT: 6.25 hours of CLE credit, including one hour of ethics, has been requested for Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia. CLE credit in other states upon request. (Please request at the time of registration.)
SYMPOSIUM SITE: John S. Knight Center, 77 East Mill St., Akron, Ohio
PARKING: Free parking is offered adjacent to the John S. Knight Center ─ at the parking deck located at the corner of Broadway and Mill streets. A parking pass will be emailed and/or available at the registration table.
ACCOMMODATIONS: A block of rooms has been reserved at the Quaker Square Inn at The University of Akron, 135 South Broadway, across the street from the John S. Knight Center, as well as at the Hilton Akron/Fairlawn (3180 W. Market St., Akron, Ohio). Reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until Feb. 18, 2012 at which time reservations will be accepted on a space available basis. Please call the Quaker Square Inn at 330-253-5970 or make online reservations here or the Hilton Akron/Fairlawn at 800-867-5000 to make reservations and mention the School of Law. Please note that the Hilton Akron/Fairlawn is not within walking distance of the University and additional transportation arrangements may need to be made.
TRANSPORTATION: Shuttle service reservations can be made by contacting Ohio Connection at 216-299-6966 and 216-324-8999. Rental car reservations may be made at www.carrental.com.Taxi service is advertised as being available 24 hours a day at Akron-Canton Airport and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. To make a reservation at Akron-Canton, call 866-944-8294 or visit www.akrontaxicabcompanies.com. REFUND: Cancellations made before Feb. 20, 2012, will be refunded less an administration charge of $50. No refunds will be made after this date, but substitutions are welcome.
