This year’s program will feature a keynote address by the Hon. Teresa S. Rea, Deputy Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Deputy Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office, who will discuss the agency’s implementation of the America Invents Act. The program also will include a review of developments in patent, trademark and copyright law, a presentation on ethics in a post-AIA world, and panel discussions on the soon-to-be-implemented first inventor-to-file system and pending IP-related Supreme Court cases. The luncheon speaker will be the University’s Vice President for Strategic Engagement, Jim Tressel.
