Akron Law graduates pass the
bar exam at among the highest rates of graduates from Ohio's law schools.
Akron Law's Trial Teams were invited 16 times to the National Invitational Trial Advocacy Tournament.
Akron won the 2003 Tournament and placed second in the 2005, 2004 and 1998 Tournaments.

Akron Law houses one of only four
Constitutional Law Centers established by congress in the United States and
The Joseph G. Miller-William C. Becker Institute for Professional Responsibility, a leader in professional responsibility in the State of Ohio.
Akron Law operates an
Appellate Review Office (Legal Clinic) where law students, under the supervision of licensed attorneys, represent clients in state and federal criminal trials and criminal appeals. The Legal Clinic's Jail Inmate Assistance Program provides general legal advice to inmates through law students.
Akron Law's Clinical Program provides hands-on business experience in the
New Business Legal Clinic (NBLC), which provides law students with the opportunity to work on transactional problems for new and start-up businesses, with a focus on those run by minorities and women. The NBLC currently has more than 100 clients.
Akron Law counts 139 graduates who have served in federal and state judicial positions throughout the United States, including two United States Circuit Court of Appeals Judges, a former Ohio Supreme Court Justice and four United States District Court Judges.
Akron Law's faculty have authored a total of 280 significant scholarly publications, including 24 books, 48 significant supplements to previously published books, 133 law review articles, and 41 shorter publications (essay, reviews, etc.)Since 1995. Akron Law hosted special guest lecturers at the Annual Dean's Club Dinner that have included: former President George Bush in 1997-98; well known trial attorney and television commentator Gerry Spence in 1998-99; and U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor in April 2000; "60 Minutes" anchor Mike Wallace in January 2001.
