The University of Akron School of Law will host a series of information sessions this fall semester. Each 60-minute session will comprehensively address the law school admission and financial aid process and will include an optional tour of the School of Law.

Dates and locations are as follows:

Session 1: Thursday, September 13, 5:00 pm, School of Law Room L-152

Session 2: Tuesday, September 25, 5:00 pm, School of Law (Room TBA)

Session 3: Monday, October 8, 5:00 pm, School of Law (Room TBA)

Session 4: Wednesday, October 24, 5:00 pm, School of Law (Room TBA)

Session 5: Wednesday, November 7, 4:30 pm, School of Law (Room TBA)

Note: The November 7 session will also include a special presentation on opportunities in Intellectual Property Law by Joseph Edminister, Intellectual Property Student Recruiter, from 4:30 - 5:00 pm.

The content of Sessions 1-4 is identical. Topics to be addressed include...

• The application process


• Loans and scholarships


• Joint degree programs


• The LSAT and LSDAS


• Any other relevant topics as suggested by the audience

Session 5 will begin with a 30-minute discussion on Intellectual Property Law, led by Joe Edminister, Professor Emeritus and Intellectual Property Student Recruiter. The remaining hour will be an Admissions and Financial Aid information session identical to 1-4 above.

Each session will end at 6:00 pm. An optional 45-minute tour of the School of Law will follow.
