From the Northwest (Toledo, Bowling Green, Sandusky)

Follow I-80 (Ohio Turnpike) to I-77 South. Follow I-77 South to the Grant Street/Wolf Ledges Exit (Exit 22B). Turn left at the end of the exit ramp onto Wolf Ledges. Follow Wolf Ledges for about one mile until the road bends sharply to the right and goes under a bridge. You will now be on Carroll Street. From the South (Akron-Canton Regional Airport, Canton, New Philadelphia), taking I-77.

Parking Information

Once on Carroll street, you will have the following parking options:

Metered Parking

Turn left onto Wolf Ledges (the first intersection past the bridge) and then into the first driveway on the left for metered visitor parking.

-OR-

Turn left onto Wolf Ledges (the first intersection past the bridge), right onto University Avenue, left onto Hill Street, right onto Buchtel Avenue, and right into the Buchtel Avenue visitor parking structure.

Note: Rate for metered parking is approximately $1.00 per hour.

University Permit Parking

Continue through the first intersection and then into the first driveway on the left for general University permit parking (lot 34 on the campus map) and limited metered visitor parking.

-OR-

Turn left onto Wolf Ledges (the first intersection past the bridge), right onto University Avenue, left onto Hill Street, and left into the E.J. Thomas Hall underground parking structure.

Note: You may only park in permit parking areas if you have a University of Akron student, staff, or faculty parking permit, or if you have a one-day parking pass. If you have no such permit, your vehicle may be ticketed or towed. Most lots are not typically monitored during weekends and holidays, except in the case of special events (especially at E.J. Thomas Hall). If you are attending an open house program at the University, no permit is required.
