Associate Professor Malina Coleman has been with The University of Akron School of Law since 1989. Her research includes assisted human reproductive issues, and she teaches Contracts, Family Law, International Family Law, Basic Business Associations, International Commercial Law, and UCC Sales Law. Professor Coleman received her B.S., summa cum laude, from Central State University and her J.D. from Yale University. She has been admitted to the bar for the state of Pennsylvania. Professor Coleman’s professional memberships include the American Bar Association and the National Bar Association. Prior to joining the faculty at Akron Law, Professor Coleman clerked with The Honorable Frederica Messiah-Jackson in the Court of Common Pleas and an associate with Harper and Paul, both located in Philadelphia, Pa.
