Use the UA Libraries catalog to find books, journals, and other materials. If you know a specific book or journal that you are looking for, do a Title search. Otherwise, perform a Keyword or Subject search to find materials related to a topic area. Please note that your search results will open in a new window.

• You can request to have books (but not journals) located in the Bierce, Science, or Wayne campus libraries, NE Regional Depository, and Law Storage be held at the Law Library circulation desk for you to pick up (a valid Zip Card is required). Simply click on the "Request" button at the top of page (see example below). Holds will be cancelled for items located within the Law Library.

• If you come up empty, click on the "Search OhioLINK" button at the top of each page of search results (see example below).

OhioLINK gives you access to the collections of 86 Ohio college and university libraries, the State Library of Ohio, and several public library systems. You can request materials to be delivered to the Law Library for you to pick up (a valid Zip Card is required).

• When the full text of an article is not available, you can use OLinks to look for it by clicking the "Find It" button:

An increasing amount of scholarly materials are being made freely available online. Through various Open Access resources, you can now connect to the full text of some journal articles. Also available online are numerous government publications. Below you will find links to some of the best sources on the Web.

• When the full text of an article is not available in Google Scholar, you can use OLinks to track it down by clicking on "OhioLINK OLinks" below each article snippet. Please note that this option will not appear for every article and should not be confused with the "Library Search" link.

If you have completed the steps above and still cannot find what you need, or if an article you need is at another OhioLINK library, then place an interlibrary loan request for it using the form below (opens in a new window).

Please submit one request for each item that you need.

• This form is for use by students, faculty, and staff in the School of Law only. Other Akron campus patrons should submit their requests through the Bierce Library. Wayne College patrons should place their requests through their campus library.

The Law Library will do its best to obtain the materials you need. However, there is no guarantee that your request can be fulfilled. Requests for Study Aids, Case Books, or Nutshells will be cancelled. You will be notified via email when you item arrives or if there are difficulties fulfilling your request.
