Akron Law and Akron Bar Association to Hold Benefit Feb. 19

Akron, Ohio, Jan. 28, 2009 - The University of Akron School of Law and the Akron Bar Association will join forces on a special benefit event titled "Law, Love and Chocolate." The event will be held from 4 - 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 19 at the Akron Bar Association (Fire Station No. 1, South Broadway).

Local celebrities will prepare sweet treats and a quartet from the Akron Symphony will perform for attendees. Proceeds from this event will benefit Akron-Summit County Library's Reading Festival. Additional promotional support for this event is being provided by the Akron Symphony.

Associate Dean William Jordan and Professor J. Dean Carro from the School of Law
Donnie Long, executive director of the Akron Bar
Marc Merklin, attorney with Brouse McDowell and president-elect of the Akron Bar
Carmen Roberto, attorney with Bernlohr Wertz
Margo Snider, executive director, and George Rosin, attorney and immediate past president of the Akron Symphony
Judge Elinore Marsh Stormer
Judge Linda Tucci Teodosio, president of the Akron Bar
Judge Brenda Burnham Unruh
Richard L. Williger, attorney and president of the Akron Law Alumni Association
