Akron Law was named one of the Best Law Schools for Public Interest Law in the November issue of The National Jurist. Out of the list of the Top 60, Akron Law was ranked #42.
Professor Carolyn Dessin was mentioned in the November 2008 issue of Estate Planning, a widely distributed, national, monthly publication. Professor Ronald Volkmer of the Creighton University School of Law, and author of the publication's column "New Fiduciary Decisions" wrote the column on the subject of durable powers of attorney. His intro to the discussion includes: "With regard to durable powers of attorney, Professor Carolyn Dessin has written that 'perhaps we have created an instrument of abuse rather than a helpful tool."
