Professor Malina Coleman began with The University of Akron School of Law in 1989. Her research included assisted human reproductive issues, and she taught Contracts, Family Law, International Family Law, Basic Business Associations, International Commercial Law, and UCC Sales Law. Professor Coleman received her B.S., summa cum laude, from Central State University and her J.D. from Yale University. She was admitted to the bar for the state of Pennsylvania. Professor Coleman's professional memberships included the American Bar Association and the National Bar Association. Prior to joining the faculty at Akron Law, Professor Coleman clerked with The Honorable Frederica Messiah-Jackson in the Court of Common Pleas and was an associate with Harper and Paul, both located in Philadelphia, Pa.
