Study abroad

APPLY FOR STUDY ABROAD

We invite you to join in our innovative two country, three city, and four week study abroad program in a couple of the most dynamic countries in Asia. Law students from Akron Law, other U.S. law schools, Nagoya University (Japan), and Kyung Hee University (S. Korea) will join together in the classroom to learn about cross-border transactions and comparative law.

To participate in this exciting program, you must have completed at least your first year of legal studies (full-time or part-time) before the program starts in July. Also, you must be in good academic and disciplinary standing at your ABA-accredited law school. (LL.M. students and foreign law students will be considered for admission at the discretion of the Program Director.)

Applications are accepted beginning Oct. 1. The deadline for submission is April 15. Early applications are encouraged as scholarship awards will be made on a rolling basis starting on Feb. 15. For first-year law students, we will require at least one full semester of law school grades before making an admissions decision. Please note that early applications are encouraged as we anticipate the program to fill to capacity. Application requirements are below.
