Archival Services

Position Overview:

University Archives is a public service area located in the Polsky Building. Students work within the hours of 8-5, Monday-Friday. They will lift and place boxes on shelves, prepare and check lists of materials, assist in retrieving or delivering records. Required: Ability to lift 30 pounds, ability to walk 2 miles, aptitude for detail work. Computer skills required.

  • Eligibility Requirements -- You must be a full-time student in good standing at The University of Akron:
    • Undergrads: min. 12 credit hours.
    • Grad students: min. 9 credit hours.
    • Work Study students: min. 6 credit hours.
    • You must maintain a 2.25 GPA or better.
