


This collection consists primarily of material relating to the National Inventors Hall of Fame and Inventure Place. Materials included are minutes from board meetings, information on inductions, children's programs, construction information, personal records of CEO Richard Nichols, information from Inventor's Conferences, and information on the BF Goodrich Collegiate Inventors Program.
Records of the Akron Chapter (formed in 1971), includes: By-Laws, minutes, membership lists, newsletters, records of annual "Women's Equality Day," program files, correspondence, materials relating to community involvement, miscellanea, and materials relating to Ohio and National NOW organizations.
Research material for American Rubber Workers & Organized Labor, 1900-1941. Materials include: research notes, phonotaped interviews, materials regarding the United Rubber Workers (URW), meeting minutes, manuscripts, notes and materials relating to many rubber companies, demographic studies, articles, news clippings, chapter critiques, and correspondence.
The Archives of the Ninth Air Force Association at the University of Akron Archival Services includes the official records of the Ninth Air Force Association (9AFA) including newsletters, membership lists, reunion programs, and photographs. The collection also contains unit histories and personal papers such as diaries, photographs, and oral histories of individuals who served in the Ninth Air Force. The materials in the collection relate predominantly to World War II.

The materials include annual booklets and records of the club secretary. The booklets list activities, events, and membership. The records include minutes of meetings. Also, scrapbooks, newspaper clippings and miscellaneous club material.
