Directions to the Science & Technology Library

The University of Akron ~ S & T Library ~ Akron, OH 44325-3907

The Science & Technology Library is located on the main campus within the Auburn Science and Engineering Center (ASEC). The ASEC facility is adjacent to the Goodyear Polymer Center and Student Union. Stairs and an elevator leading up to entrance of the S & T Library are located next to the Goodyear Polymer Center on the same side as the 2nd story bridge (south side).

Visitor’s metered parking is located on Carroll Street near the Student Union (west side – Lot 18). Parking for UA students, faculty and staff is available in the lots on Carroll Street (Lots 37 & 39)

Driving Directions To The Science & Technology Library:

(On weekends, visitors may park free in any designated student/faculty/staff parking lot)

From Northbound - I-77/Rt. 8

Follow I-77 North to Rt. 8 North and exit at Buchtel Ave. Turn left (west) onto Buchtel Ave., then left (south) at Hill St. At the next intersection turn right (west) on University Ave. and at the traffic light turn left (south) onto Wolf Ledges Parkway. From Wolf Ledges turn left (east) onto Carroll St. Visitor’s metered parking is located in the lot adjacent to the Student Union (Lot 18).

From Southbound - 1-77 & Eastbound - I-76

Follow I-77 South/ I-76 East and exit at Wolf Ledges Parkway. At the traffic light, turn left (north) onto Wolf Ledges Parkway. Proceed until road curves (east) and turns into Carroll St. Visitor’s metered parking is located in the lot adjacent to the Student Union (Lot 18).

From Southbound - Rt. 8

Follow Rt. 8 South and exit at Buchtel Ave.. Turn right (west) onto Buchtel Ave., then left (south) at Hill St. At the next intersection turn right (west) on University Ave. and at the traffic light turn left (south) on Wolf Ledges Parkway. From Wolf Ledges turn left (east) onto Carroll St. Visitor’s metered parking is located in the lot adjacent to the Student Union (Lot 18).

From Westbound - I-76

Follow I-76 West and exit at Wolf Ledges Parkway. At the traffic light, turn right (north) onto Wolf Ledges Pkwy. Proceed until road curves (east) and turns into Carroll St. Visitor’s metered parking is located in the lot adjacent to the Student Union (Lot 18).

From Market Street/Rt. 18

From East Market St. turn right (south) onto S. Union St. Proceed to second traffic light. At light, turn right (west) onto Buchtel Ave. and then left (south) at Hill St. At the next intersection turn right (west) on University Ave. and at the traffic light turn left (south) onto Wolf Ledges Parkway. From Wolf Ledges turn left (east) onto Carroll St. Visitor’s metered parking is located in the lot adjacent to the Student Union (Lot 18).
