The Friends of the University Libraries is an organization of people whose purpose is to enlarge and enrich the facilities and collections of the University Libraries.
At the 2007 Annual Meeting of the Friends of the University Libraries, the membership voted to make The Friends a paid-membership organization. A single annual membership is $45; a family annual membership is $75.
Supporting the library has never been more important than it is now,
as the University Libraries responds to 21st Century teaching and learning needs.
Your Membership dollars will be used to:
- Purchase intellectual content for the library’s collection
- Support Information Literacy Programs, including innovative programming, transition to college programs and student internships
- Improve the presence of the physical and virtual library, including the library website and the Learning Commons
Benefits of membership include a bi-annual newsletter, bi-monthly email (only) campus calendar, special invitations to University Library sponsored events and programs Community Patron borrowing privileges. But most important is knowing that your contribution is adding intellectual and cultural capital to The University Libraries, a key academic resource.
