Academic Search Complete is the world's most valuable and comprehensive scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database, with more than 6,100 full-text periodicals, including more than 5,100 peer-reviewed journals. In addition to full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for more than 10,100 journals and a total of more than 10,600 publications including monographs, reports, conference proceedings, etc. The database features PDF content going back as far as 1887, with the majority of full text titles in native (searchable) PDF format. Searchable cited references are provided for more than 1,000 journals.

America: History and Life is the index of literature covering the history and culture of the United States and Canada, from prehistory to the present. With indexing for 1,700 journals from 1964 to present, this database is an important bibliographic reference tool for students and scholars of U.S. and Canadian history. The database also includes citations and links to book and media reviews. Strong English-language journal coverage is balanced by an international perspective on topics and events, including abstracts in English of articles published in more than 40 languages.

ArticleFirst is an index of the items listed on table of contents pages of over 12,000 journals. This index covers articles, news stories, letters and other items on topics as diverse as business, humanities, medicine, popular culture, sciences, social sciences, and technology. For most items, the database also provides a list of libraries that hold the journal.

ATLA Religion Database provides information on topics such as biblical studies, world religions, church history, and religion in social issues. ATLA Religion Database contains more than 1.7 million bibliographic records covering the research literature of religion in over 60 languages. It includes more than 575,000 article citations from more than 1,679 journals (506 currently indexed), more than 239,000 essay citations from over 16,800 multi-author works, and more than 530,000 book review citations. Coverage spans from 1949 to the present. This database is produced by the American Theological Library Association.

Birds of North America (BNA) Online provides a living resource of comprehensive life histories and current research for more than seven hundred species of birds breeding in the United States (including Hawaii) and Canada. Published by Cornell Lab of Ornithology and American Ornithologists' Union. Content includes photographs, illustrations, and videos displaying plumages, behaviors, habitat, nests, eggs, and more. In addition BNA Online includes sound recordings and calls of the species from Cornell's Macaulay Library of Natural Sounds. Contents are updated frequently, with contributions from researchers, citizen scientists, and designated reviewers and editors.

The OhioLINK Library Catalog is a virtual statewide library listing items owned by OhioLINK libraries. The catalog provides bibliographic descriptions and indicates where copies are located and whether copies are available. Resources include: books, journals and periodicals, audiovisual materials, sound recordings, electronic resources, government documents, archives and manuscripts, maps, and music scores.

ProQuest Congressional (formerly LexisNexis Congressional/CIS) is a comprehensive index to materials by and relating to the U.S. Congress and the legislative process. The database indexes materials including hearings, committee prints and publications, and legislative histories.

The University of Akron has access to the full text of all published and unpublished Congressional hearings held 1824-1979; committee prints and publications; Congressional Research Service (CRS) reports; and the fully indexed Congressional Record. The PDFs are fully searchable and include transcripts and materials submitted for the record. The University of Akron also has access to the full text of the Serial Set from 1789 to 2003. This resource includes historical illustrations, maps, and statistical tables. These full-text collections may be accessed on campus or remotely by logging into the proxy server. OhioLINK authenticated users will not be able to access all full-text collections.

The U.S Serial Set includes reports and documents either produced or ordered by Congress, as well as presidential communications and treaty materials. Of particular importance to those who study law, the Serial Set contains Congressional legislative reports that provide unrivaled insight into the legislative intent of laws enacted before 2003.

Congressional Hearings contain full transcripts of congressional proceedings, including oral statements, committee questions, and discussion. They also contain texts of related reports, statistical analyses, correspondence, exhibits, and articles presented by witnesses or inserted into the record by committee members and staff.
