Article Databases

  • Academic Search Complete - Academic Search Complete, designed specifically for academic institutions, is the world's most valuable and comprehensive scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database, with more than 5,300 full-text periodicals, including 4,400 peer-reviewed journals. In addition to full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for more than 9,300 journals and a total of 10,900 publications including monographs, reports, conference proceedings, etc. The database features PDF content going back as far as 1865, with the majority of full text titles in native (searchable) PDF format.
  • CINAHL Plus with Full Text - CINAHL Plus with Full Text provides indexing for 3,024 journals from the fields of nursing and allied health, with indexing back to 1937. CINAHL Plus with Full Text also contains searchable cited references for more than 1,160 journals and provides full text for hundreds of journals, plus legal cases, clinical innovations, critical paths, drug records, research instruments and clinical trials. PDF backfiles to 1937 are also included.
  • ComDisDome - Resources included in ComDisDome are referred and selected based on their relevance to the field of Speech Pathology and Audiology and its research. Each item is linked to related items, providing your users with the most richly networked and easily navigable representation of their professions' content and community available today. In the Dome you will also find the "Grants" section that will allow you to get connected to any sources of grant funding. You also have the ability to see what grants have been awarded and in what areas of research allowing you to connect with the researchers receiving the grants.   • Digital Video Collection - OhioLINK - Digital videos covering many subjects. Currently includes videos from the distributor Films for the Humanities and Sciences.
  • Dissertation Abstracts (ProQuest Dissertations & Theses) - Index to doctoral dissertations and master's theses from North America and Europe. Includes or has links to full text.
  • ERIC (OSearch) - ERIC indexes education-related literature, beginning in 1966. The ERIC database is the world’s largest source of education information, containing abstracts of documents and journal articles on education research and practice. The database covers descriptions and evaluations of programs, research reports and surveys, curriculum and teaching guides, instructional materials, position papers, and resource materials. In 1993, ERIC began indexing education-related books, including the output of major publishers.
  • Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition - Index, abstracts, and full text focusing on many medical disciplines. Includes or has links to full text.
  • Infotrac Full-Text Articles (1,000 Journals) - Index to citations in 1,000 journals with full-text access to almost 900 journals. Covers many subject areas at the undergraduate level. Includes or has links to full text.
  • MEDLINE 1950 - present - Index and abstracts of journal articles in the health sciences. Includes or has links to full text.
  • MLA International Bibliography - Index to books and articles on modern languages, literatures, folklore, and linguistics. Includes or has links to full text.
  • Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection - Index, abstracts, and full text covering topics such as emotional and behavioral characteristics, psychiatry and psychology, mental processes, anthropology, and observational and experimental methods. Includes or has links to full text.
  • PsycINFO 1967- - Index and abstracts of articles, books, chapters, dissertations, and reports in psychology. Includes or has links to full text.
  • RefWorks - RefWorks is a Web-based bibliography and database manager that allows you to create your own personal database by importing references from text files or online databases. You can use these references in writing papers and automatically format the paper and the bibliography in seconds.
