What technologies are available at the center?

The University of Akron Medina County University Center features the latest in learning technologies. Most classrooms have ceiling mounted projectors for display of multi-media content. Distance Learning Rooms 101 and 201 incorporate 65 inch plasma HDTVs and 48 inch touch sensitive smart boards. These rooms have the capability to video conference classes throughout the entire world. The Computer Lab in room 316 contains 24 student PCs and an instructor PC ported to the overhead projector. The MCUC has an extensive WiFi network with complete coverage throughout the building. The MCUC also has a wireless mobile laptop cart that can be reserved upon request by faculty. These 35 PCs have the MS Vista operating system and are pre-configured to connect to the MCUC’s WiFi Network.
