• College for Kids was launched in April 2009. MCUC partnered with Mad Science to offer hands-on exercises to teach ways to have fun with science. Participants were ages six to ten years old.
• The first time offered in the Medina area, the Lean Mastery Certificate program was developed and launched starting with a full class and a waiting list. Lean is a program offered for area manufacturers, health care facilities, and other industries and individuals interested in implementing Lean practices.
• MCUC Partnered with Westfield Insurance to bring, for the first time to the area, Insurance Certification training programs. Persons earning the certification can work in the professional field of insurance.
• Also for the first time in the Medina County area, MCUC has partnered with the Medina County Planning office to bring citizen and professional development classes in planning and zoning.
• MCUC partnered with the Medina County Economic Development Office and the Medina County Chamber of Commerce to bring SCORE small business classes and workshops to the county.
