The University of Akron Medina County University Center opened their doors to the community in January of 2008.  Since the opening, MCUC has enrolled or worked with over 1200 students and over 7500 individuals spanning 33 organizations at 300 events or meetings.  Through the use of distance learning and technology-enhanced classrooms, MCUC has the ability to accommodate a variety of events and classes.
 
MCUC offers non-profit organizations the chance to utilize the facility free of charge.  Many Medina County organizations have held their meetings at the center and yours could be next!  Call (330) 721-2210 to arrange a tour or to request a room.  Reservations can also be requested online through our online reservation form.

  • Use our interactive SmartBoard to make notes and comments throughout your presentation. Save your notes and send them electronically to your participants.
  • Large meetinag rooms and a Training Center are available for groups up to 120 people.
  • Wireless network is featured throughout the entire building.
  • We can connect your meeting to almost any site in the world through our videoconferencing technology. MCUC features four rooms capable for video conferencing through The University of Akron’s distance learning initiative.
  • MCUC features a computer lab with twenty-five computers or a mobile laptop lab with thirty laptops available for your meeting or event.
