Antique and Vintage Jewelry: A Hands-on Course - How to Determine Jewelry's Age, Materials and Value
Ever wonder the exact age and value of a piece of a loved one ’s jewelry left to you? Or, do you have an interest in the history of jewelry in general? Participants of this course will learn a brief history of jewelry and personal adornment. They will also learn to use basic appraisal tools through hands-on demonstration. Also learn clues to the age and composition of jewelry pieces as well as jewelry vocabulary terms. Participants can bring in their own jewelry for analysis and instructor’s evaluation. Instructor: Dr. Mari Halkovich specializes in jewelry of the 1940s and is a member of the Gemological Institute of America.

Drawing
Learn practical drawing techniques while experimenting with a variation of drawing media. This class will include a lecture on the history of drawing as an art form, as well as an introduction to critique. Instructor: Candis Keener

Life Drawing
Students will learn a variety of approaches to drawing the human figure. This class will include a lecture on the history of artistic depiction of the human figure, as well as class critique discussions. Initial list of materials needed: basic drawing pencil set (4B through 4H), kneadable eraser, compressed charcoal (black, white, brown), 18" x 24" drawing pad. Instructor: Candis Keener

Artist's Studio
Studio time for practicing artists of any medium. Each session begins with a series of guided artistic exercises, and then concludes with a free work session. Students navigate the studio, observing and sharing ideas with fellow artists. All participants should come to this open studio prepared with a current project in-progress and all supplies. Ceramics
An adult pottery class where we will explore different techniques of hand built pottery projects. All levels welcome to experience in-depth clay work. We will concentrate on coil and slab, pinch pots, and a chance to try a potter's wheel. You will also receive instruction on painting and glazing of your artwork. A variety of projects will be created over this 5-week class. Includes class time at All Fired Up! in  Medina Square. Instructor: Amanda Cook, All Fired Up!

From the Camera to Print
So, you’ve got all those photos on your digital camera…now what? This class will help you discover all the aspects of working with digital images from the time your last picture was taken to the beautiful frame on your end table. Retrieve images, image space, file size, flash cards, using Microsoft Picture Manager, resizing, adjusting images (Photoshop), printing, show-and-tell with your images, and an intro to Lightroom.
