1997 UA Trip to Faverges

 

The 1997 University of Akron Summer Program in the Alps ran from May 16th to June 25th. Illustrated reports were posted on this web site every few days, showing students' activities and places visited. The group visited the city of Paris during the first weekend in June; other visits included Aime, Annecy, Chamonix, Geneva (Switzerland), Cormet de Roselend mountain pass, St Germain, Morette, Montmin, and many other sites too numerous to mention. The weather was most favorable this year, and students enjoyed summer temperatures and sunshine during most of the six weeks of the Program. Reports were filed starting with the arrival of students in Geneva and Faverges on May 17th and ended on the day of their departure, June 25th.
