Biography

Dr. Wyszynski received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan (1996) and a BA in Spanish from The University of Akron (1990).

Dr. Wyszynski taught at the University of Texas at Arlington before joining the University of Akron faculty in July, 1998. He specializes in Spanish Golden Age literature, and in particular Cervantes. He is the Series Editor for Cervantes & Co. Spanish Classics and was a founding co-editor of the H-Cervantes discussion list.

In April 2001 Dr. Wyszynski was the recipient of the Chairs’ Award for Notable Achievement in Early Career. In 2009 he was the recipient of the UA Institute of Teaching and Learning Outstanding Teacher-Scholar award, as well as the Ohio Magazine Excellence in Education Award.  His profile can be found on Academia.edu.
