Marya Bednerik teaches playwriting and script analysis at Kent State. She was named as a Gian Carlo Menotti Guest Artist and directed at the Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston, South Carolina. Her American College Theatre Festival production, The Canterbury Tales, played at The Kennedy Center. Recent publications include “Some Particular Pursuits: the Double Fiction of Simon Gray” in Simon Gray: A Casebook and “Writing the Other” in Marsha Norman: A Casebook. Dr. Bednerik has presented a number of papers before the international meetings of The Pinter Society.
