'Ohio Women Make History' Rally for Hillary Clinton is Saturday

Akron, Ohio, Feb. 29, 2008 -- Former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, actress Melanie Griffith and Chelsea Clinton will speak at an “Ohio Women Make History!” rally at The University of Akron to help promote U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton's campaign for president.

The event is in Student Union Ballroom on Saturday, March 1 at 2 p.m. Doors open at 1 p.m.

The event is sponsored by the UA student group Support in Sisterhood and will help kick off the university's celebration of Women's History Month.

Guests will include U.S. Reps. Stephanie Tubbs Jones, D-Ohio, Nydia Velázquez, D-N.Y., and Allyson Schwartz, D-Pa.; former Maryland Lt. Gov. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend; and EMILY's List president and founder Ellen Malcolm.
