Former Peace Corps Director is CBA Speaker March 25
Akron, Ohio, March 18, 2008 —- Former Peace Corps director Kevin O'Donnell will discuss "Murphy's Law and Your Career" at the spring semester Social Responsibility Lecture Series presentation sponsored by The University of Akron's College of Business Administration. O'Donnell, managing director of consulting firm O'Donnell & Associates and former CEO of SIFCO Industries, will discuss his career in the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. His talk will be on Tuesday, March 25, from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. in Room 201 at the Buckingham Center for Continuing Education, 220 Wolf Ledges Parkway. The talk is free and open to the public. O'Donnell has been managing director of O'Donnell & Associates since 1994. He spent nearly 20 years at SIFCO, which repairs engine components for the world's major airlines. Before that, he held several positions with the Peace Corps, including director, acting deputy director, country director for South Korea, and director of administration and finance in Washington, DC. He has a bachelor's degree from Kenyon College, a master's in business administration from Harvard Business School, and several honorary degrees. O'Donnell is the fourth speaker in the lecture series. Others were Sister Mary Sujita Kallupurakkathu, the superior general of the Sisters of Notre Dame; Stephen Petras, an attorney and leader in the Clinton Foundation's global fight against HIV/AIDS; and Ronn Richard, CEO of The Cleveland Foundation.
