UA Forum Series Presents Nikki Giovanni April 10
Author, poet and professor Nikki Giovanni will speak about her ongoing fight for equality in education on April 10 at 7:30 p.m. in the Donfred H. Gardner Theatre in The University of Akron's Student Union. Her talk, sponsored by the UA Honors College and supported by the Buckingham Endowment, is part of the 2007-08 UA Forum Series.

Tickets cost $8 each for the general public, $6 for UA faculty and staff, and $4 for UA students with a valid ID. For tickets, call 330-972-7570.


UA Business College to Hold Graduate Information Session
The University of Akron's College of Business Administration (CBA) will hold a graduate information session from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 11, in CBA Room 121. Potential students can meet with advisers and faculty members to discuss program requirements and the accredited programs that the college offers. Interior Design Showcase April 17
Learn about residential and commercial interior design, and see portfolios created by graduating students, during the Interior Design Senior Showcase at The University of Akron on Thursday, April 17 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The free event is in the main lobby of Schrank Hall South, 240 Carroll St., on the UA campus.

The Interior Design Senior Showcase is hosted by UA's School of Family and Consumer Sciences and its Interior Design Program. For more information call 330-972-7791 or e-mail JLV1@uakron.edu .


UA Counseling Clinic Presents Relationship Lecture April 18
Sexual orientation therapy expert Shannon Dermer will present "Understanding and Strengthening Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT) Couples' Relationships: What are the Struggles and What Can Help?" at The University of Akron on Friday, April 18 from 2 to 5 p.m. in Student Union Room 312.

Free and open to the public, this event is presented by The University of Akron Clinic for Individual and Family Counseling in collaboration with the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Union. It is made possible by a grant from the Gay Community Endowment Fund of the Akron Community Foundation.
