Solaris Woodwind Quintet to Perform April 20
The Solaris woodwind quintet presents an evening of classical and contemporary works on Sunday, April 20 at 3 p.m. in The University of Akron School of Music's Guzzetta Recital Hall. The concert is free and open to the public. For more information, call 330-972-7591.


Nobel-Prize Winning Economist to Speak at UA April 23
Nobel Prize-winning economist Dr. George A. Akerlof will present the 18th Emile Grunberg Lecture, titled "Economics and Identity," on Wednesday, April 23 at 2:30 p.m. in The University of Akron Student Union Gardner Theatre. The lecture is free and open to the public. For tickets, visit UA's Bierce Library or call the Department of Economics at 330-972-7546.


University Park Alliance Sponsors Business Workshop
April 24

University Park Alliance presents Steve Cook, director of the New Business Legal Clinic in the School of Law, who will discuss the legal issues involved with starting your own business from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, at Asian Services in Action Inc. (ASIA), 730 Carroll St., in Akron. Topics include: personal liability, business insurance, vendor's licenses and taxes.
