Akron, Ohio, May 2, 2008 -- University of Akron students Vincent Dorsey of Massillon and Madelin Reinersmann of Hartville received scholarships at the recent Akron Press Club scholarship luncheon.

He is a sports reporter for The Buchtelite, UA's student newspaper, and a student editor for UA's College of Fine and Applied Arts. He also has written for the Akron Aeros and helped edit the UA School of Communication's alumni magazine.

Reinersmann received the Ludel B. Sauvageot Scholarship. She operates a freelance photography business and is a photographer for The Suburbanite newspaper. She was named a “Student to Watch” by UA's Akron magazine and the 2008 Outstanding Woman in Higher Education by the Women's History Project of the Akron area.
