Medina County University Center Open House Saturday May 10

Akron, Ohio, May 5, 2008 — The University of Akron's Medina County University Center (MCUC) will host a community open house on Saturday, May 10 from 1 to 4 p.m. The event, which is free and open to the public, will feature family-friendly activities, educational workshops and more. Additionally, the UA application fee will be waived for those who sign up at the open house.

MCUC, located at 6300 Technology Lane in Medina, opened its doors to students in January. For more information about the open house or MCUC course offerings, call 330-721-2210 or visit www.mcuc.uakron.edu.

MCUC offers general courses for associate, bachelor's and master's degree programs, as well as stand-alone classes and workshops. Associate degree programs at MCUC include criminal justice technology, paralegal studies, business management technology, surgical technology, arts, and geographic and land information systems. A bachelor's degree program in nursing and a master's degree program in education also are available.
